Darntrell Belle

Darntrell Marque’ Belle (“Dink,” Donya, Gravy East) 22, departed this life on July 22, 2012. He was born on March 21, 1990 in Newport News, VA. Son of (Grip and Trella “Piggie” Brinkley.) and the late Darnell Belle Jr.

He attended Newport News and Hampton Public Schools. He was a loving and playful person. Darntrell always kept a smile on your face. He was loved by many young and old. Preceded in death by dad (Darnell Belle Jr.) and grandfathers: Darnell Belle Sr. and Clarence Wilkes, best friends Barry Ricardson and Keon Flemmings.

He is survived by his mother Trella “Piggie” Brinkley of Rock Hill, SC his Sisters: Darnika Belle of Rock Hill, SC and Sherika Ivey of Newport News. Brothers: Antonio Anderson and James Riley of Newport News. Aunts: Nicole Wilkes-Crooks (Marlon) of Ft. Irwin, CA and Darra Belle of Chesapeake. Uncles: Daniel Williams (Reva) of Clinton, MD, Lorenzo Smith (Shirley) of Hampton, VA, Vincent Preister of Las Vegas, NV, Delton Hardy (Denise) of Va. Beach and Christopher Belle of Hampton. Grandmothers: Mildred Wilkes and Crystal Robinson (Belle) of Hampton. Magaline Rumble of Newport News, Va and THE LOVE OF HIS LIFE, his Grandmother Brenda Wilkes of Hampton. Special Cousins: Jehora Riddick, Nikah LaDet and Maureen Jackson of Newport News and Kwaniqua Woodley and Drayvon Hardy of Hampton. Godfather Timothy “Meathead” Hardy of Newport News. Special Friends: Jermaine Mizell and Tracy Nocentelli of Newport News and a Host of family and friends.

Services for Darntrell, will held 11:00 a.m. Monday July 30, 2012, at the Transformation place at Gethsemane Baptist Church 5405 Roanoke Ave. Newport News. By Dr. Dwight Riddick. Senior Pastor.

The family will receive friends today July 29, 2012 from 12 noon to 4:00 pm at C.C. Carter Funeral Home at 3314 Roanoke Ave, Newport News, Va.

Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Darntrell will lie in state at Gethsemane one hour prior to the service.

Monetary donations will be accepted at Wells Fargo Bank “Darntrell Belle” Memorial Fund
